En agosto próximo los muchachos de Tokio Hotel regresarán a Latinoamérica a casi cinco años de su primer show en el continente. Entonces, la banda alemana pisó tierras chilenas con su álbum "Humanoid" y reunió a 9 mil fans en el Movistar Arena.
Desde ese día (28 noviembre) han cambiado muchas cosas en la agrupación. La más explícita tiene que ver con el look de Bill Kaulitz (vocalista), quien pasó de tener una barroca y prominente cabellera a un look más sencillo, pero también hubo una evolución con su sonido.
"Bueno, todos estamos un poco más viejos (risas) y claro, nuestra música también cambió" cuenta el cantante a Publimetro.
Fuera de las bromas, Kaulitz explica que "ahora nuestro sonido es mucho más electrónico que lo que mostramos en "Humanoid" (2009). Creo que definitivamente hemos cambiado. En cinco años pasan
muchas cosas, ya sea a nivel personal o relacionado a las cosas que escuchas o te gustan".
Y este paso a la electrónica no es un capricho de la banda por sonar más actual, sino más bien, algo relacionado directamente al ambiente en que los músicos de Tokio Hotel se han paseado últimamente.
"Creo que fue una transición natural porque hemos estado en varias fiestas mientras producíamos el álbum y creo que, en un nivel personal, estamos más involucrados con la electrónica. Hemos conocido y escuchado a muchos Djs, ido a varios festivales electrónicos y cosas así. No lo sé, creo que nos inspiró el estar en ese ambiente", confiesa el líder de la agrupación.
"Kings of Suburbia" es el nombre de esta nueva producción de la que Kaulitz y compañía hablan, y tardó cinco años en ver la luz. Y es que Tokio Hotel quiso tomar un receso tras la gira de promoción de "Humanoid", sin embargo, esta se extendió más de lo que imaginaron.
Al respecto cuentan que "la verdad es que no teníamos planes de congelar la banda o algo así. Más que nada decidimos descansar un poco, relajarnos. Tratamos, básicamente, de encontrar un nuevo balance en nuestras vidas, tanto para nuestra carrera musical como para el aspecto personal".
"También queríamos tener un tiempo para ser creativos, sin tener mucha presión con el tema de lanzamiento o cosas así" relata Bill Kaulitz. "Entre todos decidimos tomarnos un tiempo libre y decirle a la compañía disquera que los llamaríamos cuando tuviéramos algo listo... y bueno, la llamada fue después de cinco años" remata entre risas.
Esta llamada también desató la gira internacional con la que Tokio Hotel volverá al continente para realizar shows en Colombia, Perú, Argentina, Brasil, Chile y México.
Para esto, los músicos adelantan que "la idea que tenemos es mostrar todo este nuevo material en vivo y crear un ambiente de club nocturno para armar una gran fiesta con todos. El setlist incluirá canciones del disco nuevo, del anterior y algunos arreglos de otras canciones. Lo probamos en Europa y creemos que lo van a pasar bien también en Latinoamérica".
Pero los muchachos de Tokio Hotel no sólo esperan entregar lo mejor de ellos. También quieren recibir el amor de sus fans.
"Para ser honestos, esperamos mucho de ellos porque la última vez que fuimos la gente fue muy loca, apasionada y muy ruidosa. Fue increíble. Así que la verdad es que esperamos que sea algo similar o mejor, en especial en Chile".
Más allá de la gira, Bill Kaulitz comenta que junto a su hermano Tom lanzarán un libro. "Es la primera vez que hacemos algo así y es toda una experiencia nueva y divertida. Llevamos un tiempo trabajando en esto y esperamos que salga bien" explica el cantante y remata entre bromas que "somos unos tipos muy ocupados".

Tokio Hotel talks about their fans in Chile
In August the guys of Tokio Hotel come back to Latin America five years after of his first show at the continent. Then, the german band were in Chile with his album "Humanoid" and they collect 9000 fans at Movistar Arena.

"I believe that it's a natural transition because we had been in many parties while we produced the album and I believe that, in a personal level, we are more involve in this atmosphere. We have known and listened many DJs, we have gone to many electronic-festivals and things like that. I don't know, I believe that this atmosphere inspire us" said the leader of the band.
"kings of Suburbia" is the name of this new production of the band, and they were 5 years working on it. And this is because Tokio Hotel wanted to take a break after the tour of promotion of "Humanoid", by the way, this was more longer than they were expected.
About this, "the true is that we hadn't plans about freeze the band or something like that. We decided relax us. Be about, basically, to find a new balance between our lives, in our music life and in a personal way"
